I always like watching rabbits because they small and gentle animals, they look soft too. When I was little I remember chasing one in my grandma garden but of course it run so fast I couldn’t catch it. Rabbits got long ears and their back legs stronger than the front, that’s why they can jump so high and far. Sometimes I laugh when I see one hopping quick like it’s bouncing ball.

In morning early or when sun go down, they come out and move around more. They not always busy in the middle of the day cause they like shade and cool air. I notice they dig a lot too. In wild places, rabbits make holes in dirt, and those holes become homes underground. My cousin told me they call it a warren, where more than one rabbit can live together safe from fox or birds.

What rabbits eat is simple. I see them chewing grass, little leaves, some fresh carrot if people give. They never touch meat, only plants because they herbivore animals. Their teeth keep growing all the time, so they need bite and chew every day or else it get too long. One rabbit I had chew the wood on cage corner and I thought it naughty, but really it just need to keep teeth short.

Rabbits spend lot of time cleaning themselves. I watch mine lick its fur then rub face with paws, almost like washing up. They do it again and again, but it doesn’t feel boring, it looks neat and gentle. If two rabbits close friend, they lick each other too, kind of like showing love.

Sometimes when rabbits feel happy, they suddenly run and jump strange way, twisting body in air. First time I saw that I thought something wrong, but later I learn people call it a binky. It’s like rabbit smile with whole body. I wish I could jump like that just to show joy.

I think rabbits curious animals, they always sniff around and explore even small space. They like company, but they also like quiet too. Watching them makes me calm, cause they simple creatures but they still got their busy life with digging, eating, playing, and grooming. To me rabbits are not only cute, they remind me life can be soft and quiet but still full of activity.
