Agricultural Story #25
Hello friends, greetings to you all. We are still in the farming season and today, I wanna tell my story on this contest by @ruthjoe. There is always a saying that joy comes in the morning, though weeping endures for the night. There is also another saying that one should rejoice for the little beginnings.
When I got a new job, I was also given a farm. Before now, I had never planted in my life before, but my colleagues taught me. I put all my best in planting maize and groundnut. I worked hard in weeding and doing everything in the farm, but it was either pest or rain. First of all, pest attacked the maize and destroyed almost everything. Then the little that was left, the rain destroyed it. I felt so sad and regretted doing so much.
The story of joy and fulfillment
All my hope was on my groundnut and fortunately, I wasn't disappointed. So yesterday, I decided to go check my groundnut which I had planted some months ago and I harvested quite a number, though not all. I was very happy, I felt fulfilled, tho I'm still unhappy about my maize but my groundnuts has really encouraged me. I now understand what farmers feel. The feeling of disappointment at the loss of crops and the feelings of fulfillment when harvesting, so my story is that of sadness which later turned to joy.
My groundnut which I harvested
I'm calling on @entity01

Welcome to steem-agro!
MODs Comment/Recommendation:The pest in maize is really disturbing, I can remember when the maize leaves were very smooth before these pests came.
