**A New Birth: New Guinea Pig Babies**

in Steem-Agro2 months ago

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to share with you a very beautiful moment that took place yesterday afternoon at my house. I was watching the guinea pigs and noticed that one had given birth to three little guinea pigs.

Unfortunately, one died. It seems that it was very weak at birth and didn't survive. I wasn't happy about it because I wanted to see them all, but unfortunately, it happened. On the other hand, its siblings did survive and are alive, and quite strong, by the way.

If you'll allow me, I'll show you some photos of them. Also, when they're older, I'll write a post about them to show them to you again. They're very cute; so tiny they could easily fit in the palm of my hand. One is very, very small, smaller than its own brother.

I've been waiting for them to be born for over three months, as I wrote in a previous post about these guinea pigs. A guinea pig takes two to three months, or even longer, to give birth. In my case, as I showed you in a previous photo, I only have a small pair of guinea pigs, meaning there are just two: the female and the male. Now, with their two babies, they form a family of four guinea pigs.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post. I know it doesn't have much to do with agriculture, but raising animals is a fundamental process for life and is also rooted in everything related to agriculture, because you have to work and struggle hard to keep them alive. In other words, they require the same effort and work as agriculture.

I'm telling you this because, in my case, I don't give them food like corn and barley; I simply look for vegetation and herbs for them to eat. Well, that concludes my post for today. I hope you enjoyed the news I shared with you.

See you in my next post!

Here are the photos and the little guinea pigs
