Creativewriting: let's Talk About Snail Farm, Feeding and other Activities

Hello everyone, greetings dearest steemians friends , I count it a great privilege to join and belong to #Steem-Agro, I'm a passionate farmer and I would love to be sharing my practical knowledge on different farming activities in this community, my post will be and interesting and knowledge based.

When I was in secondary school still trying to understand science, I was thought that snails are hermaphrodite meaning that they have both male and female reproductive system or organs,so with these I was kept wondering about how these work, but that was just theoretical knowledge,we were not exposed to practical knowledge, as these keep disturbing so I decided to embark on snail farming not just to see to them mating but to have a better knowledge and a side hustling business, yes snail is very prolific if you understand how it is being managed.

Here's how I got my snail mating	The weaker one is the female while strongest is the male

Although most countries don't eat snails because of their religions, aside from eating snail, the slime are used in cosmetics industry in the manufacturing of cream and other facial products. The shell of snail are also good calcium source to feed other livestock after processing.

Why do I go into snail?

Low capital investment: Snail can be started with minimal capital depending on the system of management in which ones want to embark, in agriculture, there are three management system which includes; intensive system, semi intensive and extensive so the choice solely depends on your capital knowing Full well that using intensive system demands much capital because everything is been done by the farmer.

Its demand little time: Snails does not need much time to be cared for when the right knowledge is being used, snails are nocturnal animals meaning that most of their activities are being done at night including their feeding,so the right time to feed them is evening.

Feeding; Snails can be fed with different materials ranging from tubers such as yam , Cocoyam cassava potatoes and their peels, vegetables; carrots, cabbage,water leaf, plantain leave etc kitchen waste and formulated feed.
Formulated feed makes them to reach maturity period rapidly than feeding them with locally source materials.

In snail farming, calcium is very essential,it enhance strong shell development and formation for babies,shells is the backbone of snail,it is the shell that aid in movement do the important of shell to snail are enormous and need to be properly formed.
