Hello my steemit friends i am always happy to take part in Steemit contests. I love to writes and shared my ideas with others. These contests give me a chance to learn more and improve myself. In this post i am joining the Steem-agro Contest: "Basic Knowledge in Agriculture #40." I will answer two important questions: first i will discuss the evolution of agricultural practices in my country and second i will talk about the challenges that farmers face and the solutions to these problems.

Discuss the Evolution of Agricultural practices in your country?

Let me begin by discussing the evolution of agricultural practices in my country. In the past farming was very simples and done by hand. Farmers used traditionals tools like woodens plows and sickles. Animals likes bulls and donkeys were used to plow the fields. People planted seeds by hand and waited for rain. There were no machines no fertilizers and no pesticides. Everything was done slowly and with hard work. The crop production was low and it took a long time to harvest.

As time passed farming started to change. The government and other organizations introduced new tools and machines. Tractors and water pumps became more common. Tube wells helped farmers to gets water easily evens in dry weather. Fertilizers and pesticides were used to improved crop quality and protect plants from insects. New seeds were also developed which gave better results. These changes helped farmers grow more food in less time.

In the present time some farmers are using modern technology. In big cities and developed areas farmers use machines for plantings and harvesting. Greenhouses are used to grows vegetables and fruits in a cleaned environments. Some farmers use mobile apps to checked the weather and learned about crop diseases. However in manys rural areas farmers still follow old methods due to lack of money or knowledge.

Discuss on the Challenges Encountered and solutions to these challenges?

Now i will discuss the challenges encountered by farmers and the solutions to these challenges. One of the biggest challenges is water shortages. Because of climates changed there is less rain and many canals and rivers have dried up. Without enough water crops cannot grow properly. To solve this problem farmers can use drip irrigation store rainwater and the government should help in building small dams. Another big challenge is the high cost of seeds fertilizers and pesticides. Many farmers are poor and cannot buy good-quality products. This affects the growth of crops and reduces the income of farmers. A good solution is for the government to provide low-cost farming materials and give support to farmers through loans or subsidies.

Farmers also face the problem of low crop prices. After working hard in the fields they sell their crops for very little money because of middlemen. They do not get the reward they deserve. To fix this farmers should be allowed to sell directly in markets without middlemen. The government should also set fair prices for crops so that farmers earn well. Lack of education is another issue. Many farmers do not know about new farming techniques. They continue using old methods which do not give good results. The solution is to give them training through workshops and farming centers. They should learn how to test soil use natural fertilizers and protect crops in a safe way.

Pests and diseases also destroyed crops. When farmers do not Haves good pesticides or do nots know how to protect their fields they lose their harvest. The solution is to guide them about natural pest control methods and provide affordable plant medicines. Agriculture has improved a lot in my country but many farmers still face problems. We must support our farmers by giving them education tools fair prices and water. When farmers are strong and happy the whole country grows better. Thank you for reading my post.
