Hi.
I'm here again.
Participating in the weekly contest where I would like to invite: @sana-khan @kidi70 @ngonenyi

The theme of the contest centers around ecology in agriculture with the given highlights/guidelines:
1. What is agricultural ecology?
2. Discuss on the main components of agricultural ecology

What is agricultural ecology?

First let's break the word down by taking the words one after the other.
Ecology is the study of the relationship between all forms of factors in an environment or surrounding.
Given this, agricultural ecology is the study of the relationship that exists between an agricultural environment. It is the science and art, dealing and analysing all sorts of interactions that coexist between all (living and non living things) that exist in an agricultural setting.
This studies the interactions between everything existing on the farm and how this relationship intertwines and affects each other, which is mostly farmlands, gardens, ponds, the poultries and other livestock habitats. These relationships could be mutualistic, parasitic, or commensal.

Discuss on the components of agricultural ecology

According to research and from past my knowledge, components of agricultural ecology is divided into two main parts, which are the:
Biotic components
Abiotic components

And explicitly…

  1. Biotic components: these are components encompassing the living factors iin agriculture. Simply put living things in on a farmland or farms. They includes the livestock generally which are the birds, cattle, fishes, snails, pigstery , the pen, down to the earthworms and microorganisms in the soil, the pests, even the farmers 😪. These components could have health issues and lose their lives.
  2. Abiotic components: and these components are in contrast to the biotic components. Yes, you guess right. They are the non-living things or factors in an agricultural setting. They do not have a life, they fo not breath, but they greatly affect their surrounding. They have one or two impact on the agricultural environment. This component include the temperature, the soil, the water, topography, climate , water and soil PH and so on.

Here we go.
