Animal Activities #22
Hope we all had a blessed day, warm welcome to my blog for this animal activity contest.
THE SNAIL
I got this snail from vegetable leafs bought in the market i took it out from the leave leaving it on top of kitchen unit and forgot it
When i was done with my chores, i came to take something and i saw the snail had moved to a far distance. As I watched it slow moves i had compassion on it and couldn't throw it away so i decided to keep it safe. After some days i noticed it doesn't move again then i poured water into it's shell, within few minutes it came out from the shell that was how i planted this water leaf and put the snail in it.It began to play around the leafs looking so lively within some days.
I found out from the snail that every living thing has intelligence because it got so use to the water leaf environment such that it moves out of the bow and finds it way back to the bow
I watched the snail crawling to know how it identifies where it's going, then i saw it touching the edge of the bow with it's antennae which is the two tentacles on it's head.
This antennae is what it uses to locate obstacles ,perceive small and identify food. Before moving to any direction it first moves the tentacle round,as it touches an object it blinks and touch again then it will stretch it neck, place it on what it wants to climb and finally move the shell.
I noticed that the snail likes and enjoys night movement than day time. Most of the times it sleeps or rest in the day then it's always busy crawling around at night. While watching it one day i saw it sink it's head into the sand in that bow and stayed for hours before coming out, that shows it likes sand as the way it likes leafs and water The snail really had fun playing in the bow with the leafs just like in the farm.
I invite @entity01 @joymm @alexenderpeace for this contest
