Wordsmiths Fiction Week 1: The Disappeared Leader
Hello friends, welcome!
Tom, the first in command, has been a great team leader and brother's keeper, narrated by the second in command. Having this scenario in our hands is quite disheartening for all of us as he continues to engage his other team members. Looking at their faces, they were all sober because of this ugly situation before them.

Quickly, the second in command (Jerry), who wasn't too comfortable with the little efforts made in searching around the island for this sudden disappearance, ordered a more thorough search to enable him to seek a more purposeful result. The company initiated a thorough search operation to help unravel this mysterious disappearance. In fact, they had to do a little deep water search within where they baited before his disappearance.
After a 72-hour intensive search operation, Jerry felt a little low in spirit as this happens to be his first major assignment as first commanding, but all came without the desired result. He quickly jumped up from the ground and called on two of four of his trusted and experienced hands to join him for an extended search operation. Since they were not well equipped to do a deep sea search operation, Jerry decided to comb the waters to compensate for their limitations.
But every effort seems bleak as neither Tom, the first commanding officer, nor the boat wrecks could be found anywhere close. The one million question now remains: how did Tom disappear from the scene and with the little boat without notice? This called for worries in their midst. The remaining team members started asking if they were drugged or hypnotized before the sudden disappearance.
They started asking themselves different questions about how this happened in the first place. Everyone was forced to make a deep rethink of what played out when he was last seen, whether there were any suspicious movements he made or his countenance to ascertain whether it was probably a suicide case beforehand. Unfortunately, there was no substantive clarity received from the whole brainstorming. Sadly, they felt defeated at this time because of the state of cluelessness.
The day was already far spent, and they all decided to retire for the day to know what it brings the next day. Not long after they all retired, they sighted two moving objects from a distance, given the suspicious indicator light that shines so bright even from far away. Jerry quickly asked for the telescope to enable him to have a clear view of those sailing towards them.

He was able to view, but Tom was a little cleaver, this time, he was at the back of the bigger rescue ship, which made it difficult to be sighted exactly. The bigger ship had nothing to be identified with which also left them in suspense of knowing what they should expect. This came with a lot. of mixed feelings for them. They had to wait patiently, believing help was in place. Indeed, this was helpful for them.
Not long after they waited for this anticipated help, they arrived and baited just by the island where the other 9 crew members had been waiting. They quickly rushed down to the smaller boat, which was where Tom was expected to be, but unfortunately, it was another crew. Member from the bigger rescue ship. They started asking so many questions;
Where is Tom?
What happened to him?
Is he still alive?
Many questions were raining out at a time without any being answered.
The commanding officer from the bigger rescue ship walked out with Tom, and to the amazement of the crew members, they all rushed to him and jacked him up in jubilation. It was all Uhuru for them. this time as no life was lost hitherto.
They quickly kept him down and began asking him several questions. They were trapped between broken initially and joyous at his return. They just had to strike a balance between this state of mind. Tom, the first commanding officer, was all smiles in all of their questioning session without any word in response yet. They looked around his body to be sure he was not hurt or in any kind of trauma.
When he observed they were a little stable in mind, he started briefing them on all that had happened. How he disappeared in the dead of the night when all of them were asleep. He told them that he was bothered being here with them without any rescue in view. He had to take that bold. step, sneaking out in search of rescue for them.
Tom, apologized for the trauma they went through searching for him but regretted more his inability to contact them due to the faulty radio. But he assured them that the solution was here with them, that in a moment, all these would be history.
Not long after, he asked that entertainment be served as he had already made provision for all that through the rescue ship. Food and drinks were served, and they all ate to their fill and forgot the sorrows of yesterday. After a while characterized by jokes and banters, they started sailing back to safety.
During his disappearance, he was able to get a rescue ship as well as technicians who would help fix their damaged ship. All through their encounters and final arrival at the island, Tom has been devising means of salvaging the situation, and one of them was getting a rescue team for his crew members to help get them out of the waters.

¡Holaaa amigo!🤗
El trauma que vivieron durante la búsqueda de Tom debió haber sido terrible. Esa agonía me hizo pensar en los documentales que he visto de catástrofes marinas.
Te deseo mucho éxito en la dinámica... Un fuerte abrazo💚
