The space you inhabit
As is often the case with art, this was one of those paintings that, in the middle of the painting, you find strange; I was almost ready to give up more than once. But for some strange reason, children, no matter how amorphous, always have a place in the warm spaces of the soul.
At one point, I thought I should use perfect geometric shapes, then I liked rounded surfaces better. Then a split emerged in my mind: one part of me wanted to create certain shapes, and the other wanted to create opposites. In the end, this painting emerged, which borders on a struggle, where the two sides reconcile, reunite, and complement each other.
I used 300g A4 acrylic paper. Seven brushes, numbers 4, 8, 9, 3, and 1. Grey, orange, yellow ochre, brown, red, black, and white. Shuttle Art acrylic paint in 36 colors.

What did your son say about this? Would he like to colour it?
I wonder about the version with geometric shapes only.
I have to get used to this as well.. the grey, yellow, not really my colours.
A creative weekend!
I learned a few things from this drawing. But the end result wasn't as good as I expected. The initial idea. Time to keep trying.

Today I saw a video (didn't watch it yet) how to paint if you are a perfectionist, or to get rid of perfectionism. Abstract it is.
