Learn To Paint Still-Life With @tezzmax - ( THE MUG 1).
Good Day Steemians and Art Lovers, 😎
By now there ought to have been series of lessons but it turned out that steemit wasn't loading images for some days and when it eventually did, I could get electricity power to work with, the firstl lesson, myself and @nucleus-tezz couldn't complete it due the power issue and at some point the objects we arranged got scattered and we couldn't arrange it back the way it was initially.
THE SETUP!

When I started the lesson, I never expected artists and art lovers to jumb on it and immediately creating theirs but as it seems to be so, I decided that our next lesson should be something more simple and nostalgic in nature, so I opted for the Mug.

At the early stages, after I had prepared my canvas, I then covered the whole surface with a gray pallete, I went further to make a quick sketch of my Mug and the spoon in it on the surface of the canvas. I chose to paint with of the mistakes beginner artist sometimes make out of fear which is not using a very dark value in the preparation of their painting and that makes it difficult to archieve the needed contrast in the painting so make sure to avoid that, more explanation; the totality of the cup is purple but when it comes to painting, one would deal with light and dark, though the cup is purple but the light reflections on it has made some place darker and such place won't be rendered in just purple but a darker one that could be very close to black and that can be achieved by mixing the purple with burnt umber using the ratio 65 purple to 35 burnt umber.

At this point I just kept building up the values (in purples) towards the lightest.

I did so much at the stage, from using not so dark share of green to develop my background and using about three different shades of orange to play artistically on the background, I then used about four different shades of lighter orange to build up the base/surface the Mug is sitting on. Finally, I signed it!

Thank you @pandora2010
It's disappointed you did not give one lesson. Since this should have been 6 which you vould have done home, taking photos included and post later.
The mug.. Interesting but again it shows or better teaches nothing which was the idea. Teaching those who know nothing something so they can try and improve their skills.
The only thing I like is thar you changed the mug.
Lol....
What exactly would you have me do then?
