And now I have some questions...: I thought (is that what I learned at school?) that the objects in still lifes have to be organic. Apples, pine branches, bouquets of flowers – in combination with an object such as a jug, table or candle. Is that too narrow a view? And – the primer you describe: is it suitable for every painting technique (oil, acrylic, chalk...)? I thought it would be a different base in each case. At least for a watercolour, I thought I was sure.
Hello friend, you're most welcome, the primer would work for all you mentioned but watercolour, watercolour needs a surface that can absorb water comfortably. Yes, a fruit can serve as a still life object likewise a mug and a knife.
