Odin All Father art

I've been working on a series of mythological gods and monsters for the past couple of years. I showed a bunch of them recently at my first solo gallery show here in Wellington at Covenant. It has been a lot of fun to depict these legends in my style. I've been a fan of myths since a very young age. Tales of gods and heroes led me into more modern fantasy ala J.R.R. Tolkien and Michael Moorcock. However, there is just something so timeless to the great myths and stories that I just feel compelled to depict them in my own art. Here's my take on Odin from the Norse myths in his guise as the grey wanderer - which to no surprise is also an inspiration for Tolkien's Gandalf. Enjoy!
