The idea of marrying early stems from culture and personal beliefs. It is disadvantageous to children, particularly young girls who are barely equipped with the knowledge and experience to survive without the help of others.

It marvels me when I see parents marry off their daughters at a young age. We could attribute it to lack of education or clearly poverty and an unchecked desire to survive off children.

The idea that men are dangerous is something I believe needs review. We should ask ourselves, "If men are dangerous, what led to it?" "How can parents train them to become law-abiding citizens just as the girls?"

I believe if we must fix the issue, then it will be best to take practical steps to reduce the atrocities. Protecting girls or encouraging them to act paranoid is never enough.

Parents have a huge role to play in protecting and guiding their children. The creator gave these young ones to them for a reason. Education can influence them positively too.
