•What do you understand by basic education?

Basic education to me is like fundamentum vitae, the foundation of life, without it nothing else can hold. I see it as that first door where a child begin to read words, write letters, count small numbers and even learn simple life ways. Some call it clé d’avenir, key to the future, and I feel that true because it prepare someone for bigger steps. It not just books or alphabets, it shape how we think, teach respect, patience, how to stay with others in peace. Even small thing like reading bus stop name or writing a short note bring confidence inside. I call it lux scientiae, light of knowledge, because it push away ignorance. For me, young or old, everyone deserve it, since it open doors for hope, courage and better tomorrow.

•According to you, what things should have been included in the basic education? Explain!

Personally, I don’t think basic education should stop at only reading or counting because life got more things inside. I always feel schools forget some very important stuffs, small but powerful. Like learning how to cook or clean or plant little garden, those are vita artes (arts of life) and it help everyday. Also I believe money lessons must be there, because without knowing argentum (money) you end up lost when real world come, simple saving or not wasting can change many future. Health too, santé de base (basic health) is not just medicine, but teaching kids to wash hands, eat well, keep body clean and also care for mind. Feelings should be talked, because heart carry heavy things, so sapientia cordis (wisdom of heart) will guide how to handle anger or sadness. Respect and honesty, those valeurs humaines (human values), should be there so children grow with kindness. And last, we live in scientia moderna (modern knowledge), so phones, computers, internet must be taught but careful not abused. For me, real education touch head, hand, and heart, not just paper exam.

•Do you believe basic education plays a vital role in our growth? Explain how?

I do believe basic education really play a big part in how we grow, because without it the mind stay small and lost. when I first learn to read and count, I feel like my eyes opened wider than before. it’s not only paper and pencil, it also about respect and knowing how to sit with other people. some say in french “l’éducation est la clé de la vie” and I feel that true, the key open many doors I never imagine. one small lesson in childhood becomes later a power of choice. latin even got “scientia potentia est” meaning knowledge is power, and it sound right. education give roots like tree, if no strong roots the branch fall easy. sometimes I think of it as sunlight, sometimes like water, all feeding the person. without it, we walk in shadow, with it, we walk with strength.

You're very correct
