What is your preference, innerpeace or outer joy?Choose one with rationale.

I would prefer inner peace to outer joy. Peaceful existence gives a firm support that is not anchored on any external factors. Outer pleasure is usually achieved by a temporal thing or material things or social acceptance which can soon end. Nevertheless, inner peace is based on contentment, acceptance and balance within one self. The world becomes a better place to deal with when the mind is at ease and happiness may just come out of our heart.

Conversely, pursuing outer joy without inner harmony is inspiring emptiness and unquietness. Actual fulfillment lies in the peaceful state of mind and that is why even the minor instances of joy become intensified. The inner peace fosters a sense of resilience, clarity and harmony hence is the more suitable alternative to long-term well being.

Do you believe anyone can achive outer joy but not inner peace?Justify!

Yes, I say anybody can be outwardly happy and lack inner peace. Externality joy may be affiliated to the external accomplishment, materialism, or social festivals. As an example, when one purchases a new vehicle, gets recognized in the society or goes to a celebratory party, the person may feel happy. Nevertheless, such sources of happiness are normally temporary since they are dependent on factors that are not within the influence of the individual.

Such joy will not be very deep without inner peace and when the excitement goes, the individual will be left in a state of restlessness. Inner peace on the other hand is a more profound state of mind, which necessitates self awareness, acceptance and emotional balance. And it is to it that even unremitting outward pleasure might not bring complete fulfillment. Thus, outer happiness is easier to achieve, but it cannot be an equivalent of quiet contentments inner peace can offer.

Share some lessons related to the above two!

Among the lessons, I had to learn that inner peace forms a stable base and that outer happiness is usually short-lived. Living by the circumference of pleasure alone may subject one to perpetual gratifications with never a sense of fulfillment in the process. The other thing to learn is that having a happy state is right, but even better when it is based on a calm mind. Patience, accepting and strong in trying moments, inner peace also teaches us that we need patience and acceptance and strength in trying moments and the outer joy teaches us to celebrate the bright moments in life.

They all demonstrate that happiness is not only what we acquire in the outside world, but also our inner attitude. When inner peace is cultivated and the joys that life has to offer are enjoyed in the process, then we will be truly healthy.

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @okere-blessing, @m-fdo and @pea07 to participate.
