Incredible India monthly contest of September #1| Basic Education!
Greetings good people of the steemit community. Hope we are doing well and this finds our well too. I am happy to be writing again today. Work has been a lot to deal with but thank God for life. I am glad to participate in this contest on basic education. I will go ahead and answer the questions asked .
What do you understand by basic education?
Well basic education as the name implies talks about the lowest level of education or what we call fundamental level of education that an individual should have. It primarily has to do with equipping the little ones when they are much younger and letting them know what and what the family and society at large requires from them.
This education helps to equip us and give us the skills, the values and the knowledge we need to relate with people and also values. It’s starts mostly in the nursery schools and primary schools and can also go into the lower level of secondary schools but basically, it starts from the family. The family must be the first place for teaching episode about basic education. The parents should not leave this to the teachers alone.
According to you, what things should have been included in the basic education? Explain!
This basic education is actually very important to the family and society therefore a lot of things should be considered in it. A child that it well trained and taught will make a good member of the society likewise the one that is not well trained will make a bad member of the family and society. Therefore we should include many teachings and examples includes;
How to read and write and also mathematics skills: Learning how to read and write is very important for basic education. If someone doesn’t know how to read and write and also calculate, how will they relate with members of the society and even their family members. So we see that it is very important.
*The basic education should enable the younger ones to learn how to think critically and be able to solve problems. That’s why most schools include quantitative reasoning in their courses and curriculum. This helps the child to think in a critical and problem solving manner.
The child should be taught how to communicate and understand verbal and non- verbal communication skills. So that we can fit in with others and understand when people are trying to relate with them.
Do you believe basic education plays a vital role in our growth? Explain how
Yes, basic education is a very I lot at part of our lives and it plays very important roles for example:
It helps the child to have a solid foundation in life and this helps the child to have a good foundation to develop further in the future and grow for personal development.
It helps to build self esteem in someone. Someone who speaks well will have self esteem more than someone who cannot speak good English or write well.
It helps to shape the behavior of people and the way they live and relate with others in the family and society. For example respecting others and being responsible citizens.
