Welcome to The SM Hypermarket Basak. Located in MEZ 2 State Barangay Basak Lapulapu City, Philippines.

SM Hypermarket is a one stop shop for all our basic needs. It is a combined feature of supermarket and department store. It offers a variety of food and non- food items. SM Hypermarket is one of the retail store of SM malls.

Facade

The long stretch side of the building outside serves as a parking spacious parking space for customers. The signature color 💚 green is recognizable with the Blue SM logo at its center.

This time I will bring you to the main premises of the Hypermarket, because the building itself has so many shops that I will write about soon in another blog. We will go through whats in the building that can offer to customers coming.

Sm is reliable for quality products and also services. This particular branch cater same as what they are on their main buildings. Come together as we tour the inside and grab some necessary items to check out.

First you are greeted with the entrance guard. Atrium is loaded with local delicacies stock nicely. The bongbong piyaya at the left, the dried mangoes and others at the center. On the right side is the pastries and cakes for occasion. The goldilocks cakes prices ranges from 25 steem to 75 steem depending on the size and flavors. I like the chocolate cakes they have.

Moving on, there is a Customer Service counter at the left side with the cash exchange and bills payment queue and also an ATM machine. A little food court on the right side that serve meals and drinks and also hot coffee. There is also grilled chicken for take out.

And now there is an entrance for the goods inside at the left side near the customer service. Customer can't enter pass the cashiers counter that line up at the center all the way to the other end.

The baskets are arranged at the side as going inside the groceries. Notably the green is there official color. They use it in most of the store marketing tools even the the cashiers uniform is.

Food Section

Bread, Veggies and Fruits

Arrangements are colorful and fresh. Bread at the side, eggs , and veggies and at front afe those fruits and even sliced fruits. Fruits prices varies from 2 steem to 4 steem each.

Poultry and Meat

Next are the wide selection of meat, fresh and frozen. Dressed Chicken meat usually ranges from 20 steem and above per kilo. Pork is at 35 steem and above per kilo depending on the supplier.

Dairy

My go to in this area is the delight drinks, a probiotic drink that cost 7 steem more or less in one pack with 5 pcs small bottles inside.

The sides are chiller loads with dairy products
The other side of the chiller all the way are the cheese, kimchi, hotdogs and other processed foods that need to be chilled.

Korean instant noodles 🍜

This grocery has an intended shelf for korean instant noodles. Ramen and even black noodles that I like they have it. I usually got the Kimchi ramen as it is my favorite that cost about 7 steem.

Homes, Furnitures and Appliance

They have almost complete ✅ appliances from Tvs, speakers, electric fan, stove, kitchen appliances and even aircons. Prices varies from 140 steem and up.

L shaped Sofas and furnitures prices ranges 500 steem to 1500 steem. They also have bed cushions standing at the back of the furniture that I couldn't go because of many stocks that needed to be arrange yet.

They also have ready to wear clothes for kids and adults. Slippers were neatly hang at the side too. Prices ranges from 14 steem to 50 steem.

Cleaning Supplies and Toiletries

My go to whenever I go to a grocery and very essential laundry soap and fabric conditioner. Also for cleaning 🧹 supplies like the zonrox. My budget for detergent soaps and all is about 30 steem.

I think I have already got to tour around the store. Got my selfie near the lunch boxes. I had 😊 fun taking pictures and picking what I need the most, leaving the wants. I could say that this Hypermarket store is convenient that we locals are lucky. It is clean and overall the experience is good.

Just visited today August 6, 2025 morning time when not much shoppers.
