✅ Explain what you draw in your own words.

What I draw today is a giraffe. I creatively draw this animal, putting on eyeglasses and standing in the grass. The drawing is more of a painting and is achieved using acrylic colour

Materials For The Drawing

• Strong board
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Acrylic colours
• Brushes
• Ruler
• Top bond
• Paper cutter

Step 1
I began by constructing the drawing space. I measure the strong board to be 19cm by 35cm after which I cut it out using the paper cutter. Lastly, I wrote my name and date on the board.

Step 2
At this step, I began my drawing from the horn. I drew the two horns, after which I drew the face, its eyes and the eyeglasses.

Step 3
I drew the nose and the mouth of the giraffe with its tongue out of the mouth. And lastly, at this step, I drew the long neck.

Step 4
Here, I mixed red and blue acrylic colours to get purple and used it to colour the background of the drawing.

Step 5
Here, I mixed red, yellow and blue acrylic colours to get a brown colour, and I used it to colour the neck and mouth of the giraffe. I also colour the tongue of the giraffe using red and white colours.

Step 6
Here, I coloured the face of the giraffe. I began with the horn, the ears, the forehead, the cheek., the eyes and part of the nose.

Step 7
I completed the colouring of the face, and I also coloured the eyeglasses of the giraffe.

**Step 8.
I coloured the lower part of the drawing using black, green, yellow and red colours to show that the giraffe is in the bush.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?

This drawing took me over four hours to have it completed. This is because I used acrylic to colour the drawing, and I really felt excited when the drawing was completed.
