Greetings friends. I am here to show you my drawing in this beautiful contest titled "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week". I hope you will all like it and give it your support. I appreciate @dequeen for organising this contest. Below are the details of the drawing.

What I drew today is a lady posing on a chair ready for a photograph. She put on a suit with her hair pulled back and a ribbon on her head.

Materials for the drawing
The materials I used for this drawing are:

• Plain white A4 embossed paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Paper cutter
• Black pen
• Cotton board

Step 1
I began the drawing by writing my username and date in the top left corner of the paper. After writing the name, I sketched the face, the head, and part of the body of the lady.

Step 2
I drew the ribbon on the lady's head using a 2B pencil and then shaded the hair on her head using a 4B pencil.

Step 3
I sketched the eyes, the nose and the mouth of the lady using a 2B pencil.

Step 4
I marked and shaded the eyebrows, and then shaded the eyes and the black eyelids. Finally, at this step, I shaded the nose of the lady.

Step 5
I shaded the ears, the lips and the entire face of the lady using a 2B pencil.

Step 6
I drew the two hands of the lady folded together around her chest, and I also drew her suit. Finally, I traced all the sketches in this step using a black pen.

Step 7
I completed the drawing of the suit of the lady, and I drew the back of the chair she sat on with her hands resting on it. I then traced it using a black pen.

Step 8
I shaded the neck of the lady, the suit of the lady and the inner shirt. I also shaded her hands using a 2B pencil.

Step 9
I shaded the chair that the lady sat on using a black pen. I also drew a button on the suit that brought me to the end of the drawing.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?

This drawing took me about three (3) hours of careful drawing. I call it careful shading because I used both pencil and black pen which cannot be erased once a mistake has taken place.

I got this image from social media (facebook) to be precise which captured my attention and I decided to draw it in this contest.
