Contest || Unlock Your Creativity || Week - 18".

Greetings to everyone

It's good once again to be in this space with you all and I hope you all are doing okay. I would like to thank @zisha-hafiz for upholding this contest every week. Art to me, is not just an expression—it's a translation of emotion into form. For this week's Unlock Your Creativity contest (Week - 18), I decided to challenge myself by drawing something that reflects intensity, focus, and strength. I found the perfect subject: the sharp, commanding gaze of an eagle. Here's my entry and how I drew it.

Step by step process

step 1

I began my drawing by lightly sketching the eye of the eagle and also added some shading to it. I spent a significant amount of time refining the curves of the eyelids, adding small strokes to show feather texture, and darkening the pupils to draw attention.

step 2

Next I drew the beak of the eagle and his nose as well. Using different pencil pressures and blending techniques, I was able to create depth and a natural gradient.I paid close attention to the nostrils and the slight creases that give the beak a realistic, almost three-dimensional form

step 3

After completing that part, I then began to add details to the face of the eagle as seen Below.

step 4

In this step, I then added some dark lines and I used a blend of hatching and soft blending techniques to create depth around the eyes and beak. The layered strokes brought out the feathery texture surrounding the face, while sharp contrasts in the pupils made the eyes pop with life.

step 5

After I finished doing that, I then finally outlined it and gave it a better look and below is my final result.

What excites me most about pencil art is its simplicity—it’s just graphite and imagination. Yet, within that simplicity lies endless opportunity. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. I hope this drawing inspires you to look deeper—not just at art, but at the world around you. After all, creativity begins with seeing things differently.
