Contest 30 | My favorite outfit this week.."
Best Photo of the Week – Comfort, Style, and a Dash of Me!
The week has been a mix of many things school stress, errands, conversations, some laughter, sleepless nights and even a few unexpected moments. But one thing that gave me a little extra joy was this simple outfit I put on, which somehow ended up making me feel so confident and at ease
So, I decided to capture the moment just for memories and that’s how this photo series came about. Out of everything that happened this week, these photos stand out as my favourite. They may not be the most glamorous, but they carry something more important: comfort, confidence, and a strong sense of self.
Why I Love This Outfit
Let me start with the trousers I am a person who loves comfort and to me trousers do the magic but there’s something so special about wearing trousers that fit just right. No stress, no adjusting every minutes, no discomfort. Just ease and movement especially when it's not too attached to the skin
I’ve always loved trousers, not just because they’re practical, but because they give me a kind of confidence that skirts and dresses sometimes don’t. I know I am a fan of skirts because they don't fit my skin especially on busy days where I have to move around a lot or jump bikes or move through tight spaces trousers are my go-to. On this particular day, I wore a plain black one. Not too tight, not too loose. Just perfect. One of my favorites
Now, let’s talk about the color. Black. Honestly, black is that one color that never fails me. It goes with everything, I mean I can pair black with any color and it doesn't select it doesn’t get dirty easily which is a huge plus if you're walking through dusty paths, and it just makes me feel neat and put together. On this day, black gave me that quiet confidence. I didn’t need to try too hard. The outfit spoke for itself.
Then we have the headtie. That’s another thing I’m proud of. I particularly love the headtie maybe it's because my mom gave me I tied it myself that morning before stepping out, and when I looked at my reflection, I just smiled. The splash of colours on the scarf added a little brightness to the all-black outfit. It shaped my face in a way I really liked, and it made me feel beautiful in a quiet, not-too-loud way I felt good that morning
The Vibe Behind the Photos
The photos weren’t planned. I didn’t wake up that day with the thought of taking photos But sometimes, the best things happen unplanned. I was standing in front of the glass window viewing myself and I just caught a glimpse of myself. The background was calm, the light was just right, and I thought, “Why not capture the moment
And one picture turned into two… then three.
I wasn’t posing to impress anyone because I practically don't have people I send pictures to it was just being me smiling, tilting my head, making a silly face, and just enjoying the moment. The reflection through the glass gave the photos a natural feel that I really love. No filters, no edits. Just me, my outfit, and the mood of the day i just vibed along
Looking at those pictures now, I realize they captured a real version of me happy, comfortable, and unapologetically myself it gave me the I don't give a fuck kind of vibes
Beyond the Outfit
Wearing something comfortable does more than just help me move freely. It helps my mood too That morning, I didn’t feel like doing much. I had a few things on my mind and my energy was low. But once I dressed up and looked at myself, it felt like my energy shifted. I carried myself differently. I smiled more. I didn't let my thoughts get to me
That’s the thing about dressing comfortably I don’t have to be in high heels or tight clothes to feel beautiful. Sometimes, all you need is something that lets you breathe, lets you stretch, lets you sit however you want without feeling exposed. That’s what this outfit did for me.
And when you combine that with colours that work together like black and the colourful headtie it gives me balance. The black keeps it calm and mature, the scarf adds some playful energy. It was the perfect blend for how I was feeling that day.
What This Photo Means to Me
To anyone else, this may just be a simple mirror selfie. But to me, it’s a little memory frozen in time a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be loud. That comfort is a form of confidence. That simple moments, like seeing your reflection and smiling at it, are worth capturing.
In a world where people chase perfect angles, fancy backgrounds, and photo-editing apps, this picture stood out to me because it was real. It was raw. And it was mine.
That’s why I’m sharing it as my Best Photo of the Week.
Final Thoughts
Sometimes, our best moments aren’t the ones we planned. They’re the ones where we were just being ourselves. This photo reminded me of that. I didn’t try to be cute, I didn’t plan a photoshoot I just dressed up in what I loved and happened to catch myself smiling.
And that’s the version of me I want to celebrate more the simple, confident, relaxed me.
So here’s to comfortable trousers, to the classic touch of black, to colorful headties that brighten our mood, and to those spontaneous moments that turn out better than we expected.
This is my best photo of the week. Not because of the background. Not because of the camera quality. But because it reflects me just the way I like it free, happy, and comfortable in my own skin.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you also take a moment this week to appreciate a simple version of yourself too.
