SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 54

Was just scrolling through my gallery to get the best picture for this contest, well every picture looks cool but then I stumbled upon this and I was like, "yeah! This is it" and it's actually because it reminded me of a beautiful outing we had one saturday morning going when we out for evangelism...

Now I know you're wondering how having a plate of food in my hands correlates with the outing we went for... Smiles...well that food you see, I mean the Nigeria jollof rice you see was the sumptuous meal I had after the whole soul winning activity.

Trust me I never even knew there was plan for item 7...lol. For those of you who don't know what item7 means , I will break it down for you. In this part of Nigeria, Item 7 simply means "refreshment", a refreshment that comes after a good program or activities and this could be any kind of edible, it's provided just to make people feel refreshed and relaxed.

Now you know how I ended up with jollof rice in my hands, not like I'm a foodie but I think I like food 😜... Well the story has changed a little as I don't think I eat as much as I used to before my wife came into the picture, only God knows what she did to reset my system. I kinda eat less now even though I claim I still love food.

Back to my story... The sould winning activity took about 3 hours of our time because we were moving round the environment sharing the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ and meeting those we could to say a thing or two concerning what Christ has done for them.

This is one activity that we as believers have been commissioned to do and I've always responded to the call to reach out when there is one. Of course I was not the only one who went for this particular one neither was I the only one who had a sumptuous meal, we all had because we all did the work.

Seeing this picture brought back that beautiful memory of that morning. I'm sure Jesus is super proud of us for spreading the goodness about Him. Anyways, if you're in doubt or do not even know this, please know today that Jesus loves and cares for you.

Let me drop my pen at this point, I think I've been able to share with y'all all how I ended up with a plate of food in my hands with a warm inviting smile... Anyways, the food is no more, it has arrived it destination many months back.
