SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 54
Greetings everyone once again and welcome to my blog. I am glad to be a participant in this beautiful contest again. I hope this meets is well and we are doing good. Today I will be sharing with us my picture of the day.
This picture is a beautiful picture of the noodles I cooked some days ago. The reason I chose this as my picture of the day is very obvious as you can see that this is not just a regular noodle cooking like every other person cooks it.
I had the privilege of hearing someone who has experience in dieting talk about the kind of food we should be eating and the type we should avoid. Not that we shouldn’t eat them at all but they should be eaten rarely because they are processed foods and even if we want to eat them, we should eat them in a certain kind of way and one of those processed food we should avoid is bread and noodles
For bread, we should eat more of wheat bread and shouldn’t be more than two slices. Too much of bread is not good for us. Then when it comes to noodles. Many people tend to eat plenty of noodles like three or four packs of noodles but that’s not very healthy. The best way to eat noodles would be to eat it small like make the smallest pack of the noodles and then add plenty vegetables to it. And that’s why you see my plate of noodles the way it is.
I made this noodles with just one noodle pack of that smallest size. And I added a lot of vegetables to it. I added chunk slices of cucumber, carrots, onions, red bell peppers and green bell pepper. I also use garlic and ginger for my noodles. In this way, the noodles gets to be very big with more vegetables while the noodles is lesser than and the vegetables are more which makes it healthy to eat.
The egg which also is better to use boiled egg than fried egg because too much oil and frying is not very good unless we try to use very healthy oils and those that have low saturated fats in them. So I uses boiled eggs for the noodles to avoid frying them. The egg is a source of protein for the food which is good for cells maintenance of the body and the vegetables such as cucumber, carrots and bell peppers are good sources of vitamin and minerals.
Sometime I also add cabbage to the noodles as this makes them fuller and helps to make one easily filled up. Cabbage is good source of fiber for the body and fiber helps our body for bowl movement. In all it’s very advisable for us to eat healthy. Avoid eating junk food. Remember that you are what you eat.
