My favorite outfit for this week is a vibrant pattern native gown with a matching head wrap, the dress consist of striking combinations of deep and light green and orange colour, it has a ruffle hem and short sleeves, it has a decorative flower which adorn the neckline adding a touch of elegance to it, the dress is worn with silver coloured necklace which was given to me as a gift from My friend, black hand bangles, silver coloured strappy heels and a light brown Wig accompanied with a light green hand bag with a gold handle which complete my stylish look.
Why I like the Outfit |
---|
I like this outfit because it gives me a wonderful shape and confidence and it gives me a lot of admiration from people whenever I walk on the street, I have also noticed that native wears makes me look more matured than thrift wears or normal causal wears, the dress is very colorful and attractive to the eyes, it also matches with any type of accessories but I like wearing it with black, red, gold or silver coloured accessories, I also like this outfit because I can wear it to any event I want to attend e.g church, wedding, child dedication, burial ceremony and even birthdays etc without feeling left out because of my looks or dressing and it is also easy to wear.
Where I got the Outfit From |
---|
I bought the outfit material from an "Aboki" man a nickname for a Housa man residing in my states. Then I took the material to a fashion and designers shop, at Ekom Iman junction, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The dress was measured according to my size and length by the seamstress, the lady really gave me enough allowance in the dress while sowing, which means I can wear the dress for as long as I want to because even if it get more tighter on me I can still lose the dress because of the big allowance, the tailor was very skillful and intelligent.
After the dress was done at the tailoring shop I was greatly admired by people who came to sow their own dress and they quickly picked my style instead of theirs, at home I was praised by my family members for this dress I was even asked for the number of the seamstress even when I walk on the road people compliment this dress a lot.
