Health Value Of Beetroot Plant:

√. It is being said that nitrate from beetroot juice lowered systolic blood pressure in adults with hypertension.
Thus, the medicinal value in the root help control our blood pressure. Beet juice may help lower our blood pressure when consumed on a regular.

√. I also learnt that continues consumption of beetroot juice can have a beneficial effect on both LDL and HDL cholesterol.
Those who have high cholesterol, should consider consider adding beet juice to their diet on a regular.

√. It can increase muscle power in people suffering from heart failure. A particular study in 2016 suggest that consuming 70 mL (one-third cup) of beetroot juice daily for one week may improve exercise tolerance in older adults with heart failure.

√. It is also known that constant drinking of beetroot juice may increase plasma nitrate levels and boost physical performance.
You can also add it powder in your meals to get the same effect.

√. It can also help in your liver function. The antioxidant betaine potentially helps prevent or reduce fatty deposits in the liver, according to animal studies. Betaine may also help protect your liver from toxins and reduce fatty deposits in the liver.

√. It is said to be rich in vitamin B. Beetroot juice is a good source of folate. If you’re pregnant, adding folate to your diet can help you get the daily recommended 600 micrograms for pregnant people.

√. There's this feature in it that can help prevent cancer. Betacyanin, the powerful plant pigment that gives beetroot its rich colour, is also thought to help suppress the development of some types of cancer, including bladder cancer. That's to say it has the quality of fighting cancer.

√. The plant is also known for being antiinflammator.
This includes potentially relieving discomfort of inflamed joints, such as knees and other parts of the body.

√. They plant is also known to help with digestion.
Beetroots are rich in fibre which, as well as supporting bowel function, helps promote a healthy environment in the digestive system.

Here are the steps on how I did the artwork.

First I had my materials ready, then I made my quick sketch with all the proportion and small details in their right place. After the skeleton or sketch was ready I started shading with a dark graphite pencil and my pastel pencils.
When I was done with the leaves I now went down to the body of the root. It was very attractive to start with. I really loved the process. I could do layering to achieve whatever depth of darkness I wanted. I made sure every detail was in its place according. I literally like what my graphite and pastel pencils did, even when it wasn't exactly what the reference looked like. I blended with my fingertips and went ahead to add the little highlights using my tombo mono zero. Just go through the WIP (work in progress) by yourself to see how it was done.

Where I got my reference picture

I actually got my picture from the internet. At first I never knew anything about this vegetable root so I decided to do a little research or findings about it and its economic benefits before making a drawing of it. I won't lie I never knew much about this plant not until I decided to do my research and findings.
Now I'm contented because it has ended up in expanding my intellectual horizon.
