We came to the end of our theatre week stage last week, and it was a difficult ride because we had four contestants evicted from the show. So bad. I felt like crying, but it's a competition, and there must always be an elimination to make room for the winners. Last week was basically singing with instrumental, which all the contestants did justice to. I love the enthusiasm, zeal and commitment.

This stage we're just entering would be even worse because it's going to be a battle of the titans, so to speak. But wait? We want to erupt feelings in this stage. We want to unite all lovers on this stage; that's why I decided to make the battles be on emotional songs. So the VOS-25 contestants would be paired to sing a duet, and the duet would be on love songs.

Let's take users on this platform to recall their love life before they got married and how the proposal went. Let's sing sadness and emotions into the hearts and minds of our viewers. Let's make someone who's emotional to shed tears and think about a beautiful memory.

That's what this stage is all about, and I, as the host, will be giving out 10 love songs for Nigerians to choose from. 5 love songs for the Venezuelans, 3 love songs for the Bangladeshi and 1 love song for the Pakistani in the Voice of Steemit house.

These are the 10 songs the Nigerian contestants that were saved in the theatre week will sing. They are grouped in pairs since it's a duet performance. This is how the arrangement would be for the Nigerian Contestants.

These pairs are to choose only one song from the list, and you can't choose what another person chooses. In our training room, there'll be a discussion by all the contestants as to song selections.

Since @sampson01 has no partner as a contestant, he'll be singing with an external person. The essence of this stage is to check individual voices, how they blend, how they fit in with others, the chemistry and all that. So even though contestants would be doing a duet, they'll have to sing in such a way that they'll not be evicted. They'll have to sing more than their partners. The aim is that the chemistry must be there before the battle begins.

As for @deetalka6, he'll be singing alone. Since he's singing alone, he'll be changing his voice in the singing process so it will sound like he's duet singing. Why will he be singing alone? He's far from the rest of the contestants, as he's not in Nigeria but in another African country. That's where he hails from.

Pakistan

@shahidalinaz was given a fixed song and wasn't allowed to choose from a list. Reasons being that there are a few known emotional songs from his country and my selection was just best for the type of songs to be sung in this stage.

@mamum123456 was given a list of 3 songs to choose from. He'll be duet singing with someone using an application as he doesn't want to duet sing alone.

What would be done in this stage?

Contestants are to reach out to their partners, learn the song and fix a date for training by the host, either virtually or physically.

Paired contestants are to sing only one song. Don't sing a song chosen by another pair.

Paired contestants can create a name for their group.

Paired contestants are to undergo training from 18th - 25th September, 2025. This training helps in blending voices, bringing out the chemistry in the duet and singing from the heart. Contestants will get taught how to bring the emotions in the song they choose to life.

After this training period from 18th to 25th September, contestants will go for their main performance as a pair.

To those in Nigeria who'll be duet singing with other contestants, once you've gotten the video for your main entry, both of you in a pair are to post that video with the questions below. Don't think it's one person's work. Both of you will have to submit entries.

Note, if you're singing alone, you'll still have to answer these questions to make up your post.

Questions you'll answer

Why did you choose the song you sang? Do you think it was a perfect choice of song?

How do you feel about your partner? Was he/she cooperative during the training? What fascinating thing do you admire about your partner in terms of singing?

How did the training go? Did you feel you couldn't blend or sing the song? Did you feel inferior?

Do you think your group will win from your performance? Rate your group's performance.

Who judges?

The judges will take this stage as their final stage in the show as the audience or fans will have the next stage and select their winners themselves. For this stage, the judges will have to vote out 2 contestants from the show. They can vote out those singing singly, a pair or one person from a pair.

The judges have the right to evict two contestants in a pair, one in a pair or none in that pair.

How to participate? Practical

You're to follow the guidelines you'll be giving in the training WhatsApp group. And note that you're to sing with instrumental or any sound aid.

Rules to Contestants

Record yourself in a video and sing the song you'll be given. You must be creative in this stage.

Post your videos on YouTube before the deadline. Copy the link and make a post in Steem Music and Voices community with the guidelines I'll give you.
Title for YouTube posting should be VOS-25 Battle's Stage by @username.

Deadline for posting your entry on steemit is 3rd October, 2025. It has started today. You can post even tomorrow.
