RE: NO Questions

No questions. But the post went on to ask a lot of thought-provoking questions.😄 I love this.

Issue is, some writers have a particular view about the platform. Many may have super creative things they might like to discuss, but the fear of not receiving supports through upvotes or comments deter them from pursuing this goal.

So, they end up working with the flow. Doing the things that seem to be working and worry about taking risks that may feel like wasted efforts.

For me, I try to leave a comment on every post I read. That means spending an additional 2+ hours to the hours I spend writing one post.

Talking about posts,
It's possible to churn out an excellent piece in less than 3 hours. It all depends on your wealth of knowledge on the topic, your emotions and level of expertise (more like speed). A diary post about my day will take less than 3 hours to write and another 1+ hour to organise the images or videos. This is because I'm writing based on my emotions.

For other think pieces that demand research, reflection and deeper reflection, then I'd need some days, a few sleeps and couple of dreams to get satisfied enough to upload that piece.

I've got a reputation at stake here.😆

Nonetheless, your post brings a reawakening. I would have to improve on my writing. Probably read more interesting pieces as these will influence the quality of my thought. Also, it will make it possible to produce more interesting posts that will interest a wider audience like the ones I see on LinkedIn and the likes.

Thank you very much for your very detailed answer. I'm very pleased that my questions, which honestly arose out of disappointment, anger and despair, have inspired you.

It is clear that there are various reasons why people publish (well or lousily) on Steem. This has already been discussed many times and I don't want to repeat it. Nevertheless, to summarise: if the greed for rewards or the fear of not receiving any destroys creativity, then something is going wrong here! This statement from me as a relatively large stakeholder who would earn a lot more money if I were only thinking of myself, as most users do. Nobody seems to think as far as you and I and a few more users: this behaviour is destroying our platform. If everyone turns away because there is hardly anything interesting to read here or you have to search for it for a very, very long time, there will be nothing left to ‘feed’. We will starve to death.

I think you're on the right track. Dare to be different! Usually this is rather positive for your reputation... 😉
