Bagerhat is a very important place in Khulna city and the Bagerhat Museum is located next to the Sixty Dome Mosque in Bagerhat. It is an important building and as a witness to history, this museum has become a tourist attraction.

The Custodian's Office is a property of the Department of Antiquities, this museum is an important establishment of the Department of Antiquities of Bangladesh.According to the information, this Bagerhat Museum was built in 1995. This Bagerhat Museum was opened to the public in 2000. The Bagerhat Museum was built as a memorial to Khan Jahan Ali, the builder of the Sixty Dome Mosque, and all the furniture and historical items used by Khan Jahan Ali are inside this museum.
