Oloje Cottage Hospital, Ilorin

Oloje Cottage Hospital was founded some years ago during the reign of the former chairman of Ilorin West. The person who built this hospital was a son of this community, and he decided to bring this government to his community so that everyone could benefit from it.

Today, I visited this hospital when I was ill, where they directed me to the file unit for the purpose of record-keeping. I paid 200 naira, which is equivalent to 1.5 steem, in order to open a file in the hospital.

The nurse I met at the hospital directed me to her office, in which she asked me what was wrong with me, and I told her everything. She asked the students who were present with her to check my blood pressure with a digital machine, my weight, and my pulse, which were all normal.

She then directed me to the laboratory to carry out some tests. I paid the sum of 500 naira for the test, which is equivalent to 2.7 steem. Blood was drawn from my body, and after they carried out the tests, they discovered that I was malaria positive.

After the results, I was directed back to her office, so I needed to wait because she attended to some people who I met before attending to me. She finally called me and looked at the results. She issued some kind of drugs to me and an injection.

The drugs are vitamin C, amoxicillin, artemether, loratadine, and paracetamol tablets. She told me that I needed to pay 5,000 naira, which is equivalent to 27.2 for the drugs and injection.

Since I had not eaten anything in the morning, I told her that I needed to eat something before taking the injection. I ate beans at a nearby shop, and after that, I took the injection.

The seat arrangement is perfectly okay, where the patients sit comfortably and need to be attended to by the caregiver. Everyone is neat since it is a newly opened government hospital, and they make sure cleanliness is part of their habit to ensure that everyone receives adequate treatment.

Every primary care service in my area has this tricycle in order to respond to emergency issues as well as to carry hospital materials if necessary.
