As I discussed in the following day, IPL 2025: Are you ready for the Grand Finale?, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) advanced for the big night. It's always special as we have a maiden champion here. The new captains of the two teams, Shreyas Iyer and Rajat Patidar, did a fantastic job leading to this level.

IPL Finals

Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, was filled with red color, and it was super nervous for both teams and their supporters. Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Salt started things with a few shots, but lost his wicket in the second over. From there, it was a team effort. Kohli scored 43 runs, but it was pretty slow from 35 balls. There were no big contributions, but in the middle over they carried on without losing many, in the last 5 they added 58/5. Anyway, they could have easily gone 200+, but ended up scoring 190/9. Stil a competitve score.

Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh started the chase. Anyway, Buvi, Hazlewood, and Yash tighten the powerplay for just 52/1. The difference was in the middle overs. Especially Krunal Pandya, with a magic spell of 17/2. Iyer went early. Inglish tried a bit, but couldn't hold on, and Nehal Wadhera couldn't time the ball. Shashank Singh tried his best, but it was too much for him without any help from the other side. In the 20th over, they needed 29, but he missed out on the first two balls off Hazlewood, but ended up scoring 22 runs, missing out by just 6 runs. It was an amazing effort by Sasankh.

Anyway, after a thrilling encounter, RCB lifted the trophy by 6 runs. Everyone was in tears, especially for King Kohli, and it was an emotional moment for everyone.
