Ahsan Manzil Museum, historical place of Bangladesh.
Steemian Friends,
Today, I will participate in a contest by @damithudaya, brother of the Steem Sri Lanka community. I will write about one of my favourite spots in the Steem Atlas Challenge contest. A month ago, I travelled to Ahsan Manzil, a historic place in our country. I hope you like my favourite travel spots.

Today, I will write about one of my favourite tourist places. I live in Bangladesh. One of our old histories will come up in my writing. Once, our country was ruled by kings. In 1859, Nawab Abdul Ghani started building a palace, which was completed in 1872. The king named the palace Ahsan Manzil after his son Ahsan. Today, I will share Ahsan Manzil's travel story with you.

Ahsan Manzil was the tallest building at that time. The kings performed their duties from Ahsan Manzil. Later, the kings ruled Bengal, sitting in the Ahsan Manzil Palace. I went to visit Ahsan Manzil in February 2025. Ahsan Manjil has all the history of the early kings, which fascinated me a lot.
Location of Ahsan Manzil:
Ahsan Manzil is located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It can be found on the banks of the Buriganga River near Nau Sadar Ghat. Buriganga River is located next to Ahsan Manzil. I have shown Ahsan Manzil's location below via Steem-atlas and Google Maps.

Description of my trip to Ahsan Manzil:
I first went in front of Ahsan Manzil and stood in line to buy tickets. Then I entered Ahsan Manzil. I have always known about Ahsan Manjil on YouTube, but today, I visited Ahsan Manjil for the first time. Entering Ahsan Manzil, I followed the directions because entering inside a very big palace, I could not understand if I did not follow the directions. After entering, I saw different kinds of beautiful flowers and plants. I see Ahsan Manzil's pink-coloured towering building from afar. Then, I entered the lower floor of the palace with other tourists.

At the palace's entrance, we saw a royal army standing. A soldier used to stand with arms like this to guard the King's house. Although it was written that taking pictures is prohibited, I took a few photos. In earlier days, the soldiers used to have indigenous weapons and armour. I stood for about five minutes and looked at the soldiers' weapons. Ahsan Manzil has many beautiful views inside, so I quickly entered.
Then I went inside and saw different types of furniture used by kings in ancient times. The entire Ahsan Manzil has been designed in a small way. Ahsan Manzil is a palace built in ancient times. Some parts of Ahsan Manzil have been renovated and improved in terms of beauty. But in the picture below, you can see the design of Ahsan Manzil as a sign of ancient times. I wandered around the room for about ten minutes, looking at the King's belongings. I had to explore the entire Ahsan Manzil, so I moved forward.
Horse carriages were used for the transportation of kings in ancient times. The museum has horse carriages used by kings. Ahsan Manzil is located on the bank of the Buriganga River. The kings used to travel on the river by boat. There are boats used by the kings in the museum. The kings of Bengal used to live in this palace. I read the history of kings in my school life.
Each room of Ahsan Manzil contains the materials used by kings. Especially weapons used in ancient warfare, skins and bones of animals and birds, medical supplies and luxurious rooms for pleasure. After entering Ahsan Manzil, I compared the ancient history of our country with reading books. There is a huge dining table where the entire royal family used to eat. The Raj Palace has a variety of amenities, including electric fans, heaters and lights.
Historical materials used by kings
I took many pictures after leaving Ahsan Manzil. Ahsan Manzil's wall color is pink. There is a huge field in front of Ahsan Manzil, and different types of beautiful flower plants enhance its beauty. The Buriganga River can be seen from the front of Ahsan Manzil. I have seen many foreign tourists here. There are very beautiful historical monuments in Ahsan Manzil.
