The world is gradually shifting into a phase where many tasks rely on AI. For now, people see this AI thing in a software way. And people mostly use it for entertainment, productivity & IT stuff. Still, we didn't witness that self-learning to hack AI stuff that we've seen on movies. And this series I'm about to tell you is about a Security Bot, a robot that did something like that.

Murderbot is an AppleTV+ original #sci-fi #comedy #horror series which was released earlier this month. Alexander Skarsgard plays the main role here. No no.. It's not Pennywise from the "IT" movies. It's his brother.

Talking about the story, it evolves around a refurbished Security Unit, usually called as Secunit, which previously worked at a mining expedition. He had served there and since it is an old version now, it has been refurbished.

There's a Governor Module in every Secunit, and that system is responsible for making the robot obey for human commands. Since this Secunit was sick of listening to the dumb workers at the mining bay, he had decided to hack the Governor Module so he could override human commands as he wanted. And he named himself as Murderbot.

In the interim, a group of scientists - Mensah, Gurathin, Pin-Lee, Rathi, Bharadwaj, and Arada land to Port FreeCommerce, where resources can be bought for space expeditions. They are kind of tight in money. But it's mandatory to have a Secunit in the mission. They can't go for a new model so they had to go for a refurbished unit. That's how they get their hands on Murderbot.

So, how will the Murderbot help these hippie scientists to achieve their goals in this unknown planet? Will he try to kill all and escape to beyond universe? It's up to you to find out.

This series is full of everything, scientific stuff, comedy, horror and all. That's why it holds 97% in rottentomatoes. What's satisfying for me the most is monologues of Murderbot. What he thinks and what he does are contrastive. Like he thought of killing, but he ended of helping. That alone creates humor in the series.

The premise the action takes place and how it flows make me attach to the series, and I can't wait until Friday to watch the next episode. So don't watch until all the episodes are out.
