When it comes to Heist movies, it could be either serious with high tech and stunts, or it could be freaking comedy. But when it comes with humor, it feels so good. I've watched quite a bit of comedy heist movies recently and it was great experience. And one thing in common in most of those movies was Eddie Murphy.

"The Pickup" is an #action #comedy #heist movie that was released on Amazon Prime. It's yet another MGM Studio movie that went straight to VOD. The movie stars Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer. The movie received quite a bit of negative critics but you know, it's a comedy, not a sci-fi.

The movie takes place on the 25th wedding Anniversary of Russell and Natalie. Russell is a armored car driver at a cash handling company. He thought he was assigned for a light shift today as he had planned to take her wife to dinner. He had repaired her broken wedding ring too, as a surprise.

But he has to do his job. He has to survive until retirement, which is in a couple of months. He was joined by Travis Stolly, a rookie who had previously worked at a bank as a Security officer and pulled a stunk at a wrong time, but ended up dating the girl affected. She was just giving him her number but he thought it was a ransom note.

Russell and Travis are up to a good start. It seems like they quite opposite but somehow find common backgrounds. In the interim, Zoe, the girl Travis tried to arrest by accident, had planned a robbery with the use of information happily delivered by Travis himself. He just couldn't stop telling her the details of route and everything. Zoe just grabbed the opportunity by both hands. Zoe is helped by two other guys, Banner and Miguel for the mission.

Without knowing anything about Zoe's plan, Russell and Travis are following the route accumulating money and valuable stuff from various locations. And out of nowhere in the highway, here comes the robbers. So, how will they handle the situation? Will they be able to get away from the madness? It's up to you to find out.
