That project looks quite good, it will gain the attention of the people more and people will try to get these Shields.
I just remember that there used to be a steemitboard that used to give the people the awards, like most comments, and engaging posts. But it does not happen now.
Yes we could bring a similar app for awards for any achievements which helps users to do more
