Punishing someone might hurt their insult or will leave a bad impact for their whole life. You have mentioned very reasonble points. I completely agree with you.
I think one can make their post as attractive and meaningful as they can but in the end its not guaranteed whether they'll receive votes or not. Our job is to input hardwork, thats it.
I am convinced by your point that money is not more important that love. I also beleive in the same idea.
