DAIRY GAME — Repairing an Old Box-TV for a customer |07|10|2025|

Last week was so unproductive. When I came out to work, the turn out weren't there. I would pay my way to work place and back home without any visible outcome.
Yesterday was the same.

But today, it is different. I came out and achieved something.
At first, I was feeling reluctant to go to work. As I was still laying on my bed and scrolling through Facebook. Then I got a phone call from a customer. He said he wanted to get his Television repaired.

We didn't discuss the problem of the TV over the phone, neither did I ask for the kind of TV it was. I needed the cash so I immediately jumped up and took my bath the left to work.
The customer knows my work place, so I asked him meet me there.

On getting to my shop, I met some people there who welcomed me well. Apparently, there were my neighbors.
They thought I was not going to make it to shop today, but I surprised them.

I like to lock my shop from behind, so I went behind to open the back door, I got in an the opened the front door from Inside.
Immediately I did, I saw the customer waiting outside for me in his car.
I went straight to check the TV . Behold it was an Old Box-TV.
I practically do not like this model of TV. I mean , it's old. Move on bro😂.
To be honest, if I knew it was this old Box-TV, I won't come out.
But I didn't want the customer to feel bad, I took it to check what the problem was.
He said the sound was not audible while a Video was playing in the TV.
When I tested the TV, I couldn't here anything.
So , I opened the tv.

First thing that came to my mind was the Sound IC . I first tested to see if voltage was being supplied to the to it, yes it was.

I concluded that the IC was bad , so I told the customer that the IC was bad and that it needed to be changed.
I told him the price he would pay is 7 thousand naira, which is 39 Steems.

The customer was willing to pay 5 thousand (28 steems) after bargaining, then I knew he was seriously going to pay. So did a more thorough check on the tv again, while the customer was away.
This time, I brought in new pairs of speakers. Immediately I played the video, the sound came up.
Wow!! So the IC was good. No more changing of IC , all I need to do was to replace the bad speakers with the new and working ones.

After replacing the speakers, I test run the TV one more time and it worked perfectly. So I dusted it and coupled it .When the customer came back to get it, I tested for him to see.
He was satisfied so he paid.
I told him I didn't change the IC but the speakers.

Immediately I finished that one, one of my colleagues in that electrical field of profession called and asked me to come fix something for him, so I did. He didn't pay me that much, just 1 thousand naira(6 steems)
All these oversabi people 😂.

After that, there was no reasonable thing going on in the shop. It was raining, So we (my friend and I just stayed there and chat). We made jokes, bought bread and coke to help our hungry stomachs. I was so hungry, I couldn't wait to take a photo. Sorry guys 😂.

It's currently 6: 25 PM, and I'm heading back home. So yeah, that's how my productive day went.
