The Beauty of the Lhokseumawe Coin Monument - September 19, 2025

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh.
Today I will tell you about the interesting experiences I had from morning until night. It started with meeting the village officials near the school, seeing a fire in the Tumpok Teungoh area, and looking for ingredients for my wife's drinks.

Take a Coffee Break

During school break, I went with the principal to our favorite coffee shop. At that time, there happened to be several village officials present, such as the village secretary, the village elder, the head of the neighboring village, and the shop owner. Many things were discussed at the table, ranging from public schools, the establishment of the Garuda flagship school, and free nutritious meals. Although many things were discussed regarding government programs, we always inserted jokes and laughter to keep the atmosphere light.

Fire

When I arrived home at noon, there was a commotion coming from the street in front of my house. It was unusually noisy and chaotic, and it turned out that there had been an unexpected disaster. Black smoke billowed in the sky, caused by a fire in the Tumpok Teungoh area. I headed to the location, where many residents had already gathered. Some were helping to extinguish the fire, while others were busy capturing the moment. Shortly after, the fire department arrived and immediately took swift action to put out the fire.

Looking for Beverages

The sun set, replaced by the crescent moon. I headed to the supermarket in front of my house to buy some things for my wife. She wanted to make a new drink that she had found on someone else's Instagram account.

Milk and Bread

The ingredients I needed were sweetened condensed milk, two cartons of ultra milk, and white bread. The other ingredients were already at home. After waiting for a while, my wife made the drink. Finally, I was able to enjoy a delicious drink, even though it was a little too sweet. Hopefully, in the future, my wife's drinks will taste even better.

The Beauty of the Coin Monument

Before resting, I took a moment to walk around and see the beauty of the city of Lhokseumawe. One of the historical monuments is the coin monument that was built by the city government. Previously, it was not a coin but a rencong (traditional knife) that was placed at the top of the pole. The traffic was very heavy and crowded. Some people may miss this atmosphere, but others are very disturbed by the traffic jams that occur at night.

That's the story I can share with all of you. May our days be meaningful and happy. See you again in my next post.

That's all, and thank you.
