Greetings fellow steemins. How are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. I appreciate @steemkidss for organising this contest.. Today, I drew a monkey for the kids in this community and below are the details.

Monkey is a mammals that belong to the species of tail primates. It looks somewhat like apes such as chimpanzees and gorillas but differs from apes in several ways.

Facts About Monkey

• Monkeys live both on the ground and in the trees.
• Most monkeys have tails.
• Groups of monkeys are known as a mission, tribe, or troop.
• Monkeys are omnivorous animals. Meaning that they feed on both plants and flesh.
• There are two main groups of monkeys known as Old World monkeys and New World monkeys.
• Monkeys can live for an average of 20 years.

Materials Used For The Drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Cutter
• Votton wool

Step 1
I began by drawing the head of the monkey. I first drew a big circle and a small circle overlapping the big circle. I then clean some parts. I then drew the ears of the monkey. Lastly, I drew the position of the eyes.

Step 2
I drew the eyes of the monkey, the nose and the mouth

Step 3
I drew the hands of the monkey. I began with the left hand, followed by the right hand.

Step 4
I drew the legs of the monkey beginning with the right and then the left hand.

**Step 5
I shaded the face of the monkey. I used a 6B pencil to lightly shade the face and blended with a cotton board, and a 10B pencil to shade parts of the head. Lastly, I shaded the ears.

Step 6
I lightly shaded the hands and legs of the monkey and blended it using cotton wool.

Step 7
I shaded the body of the monkey and lastly, I wrote my name and date on the paper
