Contest alert- All-in-one contest W11: Drawing of a grandfather.

It's another week again; I believe all of you are fine, just as I am. Today, I am glad to participate in this subtopic 'DIY/Arts/Drawing/craft/repairs/sewing/origami and more'. I have drawn the portrait of a grandfather using a pencil as my entry.

I chose to draw a grandfather this week because this is an age or level in life that every parent will want to reach. Grandparents are also a set of parents who love kids and kids always want to be around them. Therefore, for every child and parent in this community, I pray that God will sustain our lives to old age, just as this grandfather I drew.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain embossed paper
• Pencils
• Razor blade
• Eraser
• Cotton wool

Step 1
I began by writing my name and date on the paper and after that, I sketched the head and face of the grandfather. I started with the top level of the head followed by the right ear, the cheek and the lower jaw.

Step 2
At this stage, I drew the eyes which are looking down, I also marked the upper level of the eye, drew the nose and the mouth. I concluded this step by drawing or shading the hair on his head. As we can see, he has a bald head.

Step 3
Here, I shaded the eyes and the dark areas around the eyes. I also shaded the eyebrow and the nose.

Step 4
Here, I shaded the mouth, the cheek, the upper and the lower jaw.

Step 5
I added more shading to the cheek of the grandfather.

Step 6
I shaded or drew the wrinkles on the forehead and shaded the upper sides of the head around the forehead.

Step 7
I shaded the neck of the grandfather and I lightly shaded the T-shirt he wore.
