Greetings dear friend and fellow steemians! I hope you are fine as I am. I appreciate @mesola for organising and sustaining this contest. Today, I have constructed and painted a wall picture frame for the kids in this community. The wall picture frame had two birds staying close to each other. One of the birds is putting on a headwarmer and the other is having a muffler around its neck. Below is the step-by-step process of my artwork.

Materials For The Construction & Painting

  • Strongboard
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Ruler
  • Acrylic colours
  • Brush
  • A piece of a mattress
  • paper cutter
  • Black pen
  • Glue
  • Thread

Step 1
I began by measuring and cutting a rectangular shape measuring 13cm by 25cm on my strongboard, which serves as my drawing space and wall hanger.

Step 2
I drew the first bird on the drawing space. The bird is standing upright putting on a headwarmer.

Step 3
I also drew the second bird standing upright with a muffler hanging on its neck.

Step 4
Here, I began the painting. I painted the entire background of the drawing white using a white acrylic colour, a brush and a piece of mattress.

Step 5
I painted parts of the body and head of the two birds black using a black acrylic colour and a brush.

Step 6
I painted the faces and the stomachs of the birds white, using a white acrylic colour. I then used the white acrylic colour to clearly show the hands of the birds.

Step 7
I painted the legs of the bird using a red-orange colour. I also painted the mufler hanging on the neck of one of the birds with a deep blue and sky blue colour. Lastly, I used a black acrylic colour to trace the legs of the birds and the muffler.

Step 8
I drew the eyes of the two birds, which are all closed, using a black pen. I also drew the nose and painted it using a light orange colour.

Step 9
I coloured the headwarmer on the head of one of the birds using an orange colour. I also used black colour to draw the stripes on the cap.

Step 10
I drew a star on a paper, cut it out using a cutter and used a light blue colour and a piece of mattress to stamp the star across the background of my drawing. Lastly, I used the light blue colour as the ground level and glued a thread at the back for hanging.

This drawing of birds in winter truly stirs you. Fine lines show a calm, strong scene. Tiny birds huddle from the cold. They rest on frosty branches. Their feathers puff out, showing their will to live.

They face a stark, snowy world. The art reveals how frail these birds are. But it also shows their brave spirit. This is more than just a picture. It whispers that life pushes on. It proves nature's quiet strength. This holds true even in the harshest winter. It is a clear look at lasting hope.

Your comment is really inspiring. Thanks a lot
