Hello steemians, it's my pleasure to be part of this week's contest, today I will be drawing a soldier who looks confident and comfortable on the battlefield. I thought that since I live in the barracks, I should just take my time to draw a soldier. We all know that soldiers help to keep the nation safe at all times, and sometimes die in service, I thank them for their good job of always restoring peace and global stability.

The items which were used to make this artwork are;

Cardboard paper📜

Pencil ✏️

Eraser

Ruler 📏

Drawing board

FIRST STEP

The first thing I was about to do was to start with the head, I started drawing the head because it would be easier and faster, at the same time preventing many mistakes. It was so fun drawing the head because I do this regularly for fun.

SECOND STEP

After I was done drawing the soldier's head I then moved forward to drawing the soldier's body, I made sure that I gently drew the body because the soldier's vest was complicated and if not drawn carefully, there would be a lot of mistakes.

THIRD STEP

At this point I moved forward to drawing the hand the soldier used to hold his rifle, it was really fun drawing the hand because it wasn't a big deal, I had to ensure that I looked like he was wearing camouflage.

FOURTH STEP

What I did next was to start shading the soldier beginning from the head to make sure that I was on point, when I saw that the work was going as planned I continued to shade it to make it thicker, I moved to the vest the soldier was wearing.

FIFTH STEP

It was at this moment that I drew the hand completely and added a rifle that a soldier uses on the battlefield, I had to make use of the ruler to get I straight line, I thought that I should keep the rifle down for a better art.

FINAL STEP

This is the moment I completely drew the part of the vest where the soldier keeps his grenade and pocket knives, I also carefully drew the soldier with his pocket knife at the point where he was ready for any attack from the enemy.
