Graduating from high school

One year in babies class!! Three years in nursery Four years in primary Six years in secondary school All these years of wearing uniforms and having a set time to come to school, reading for end of term exams has come to a definite end.

"I'm ready to upgrade"

I still have my pictures from when I graduated as a baby, till now, it's just a thing of joy

Yes friends the long awaited day I had been anticipating was finally here, I was just so overjoyed, go finally celebrate my passing out from high school, it is like a dream come true.

I woke up that morning feeling energized, I went to do my business and by the time I came out, my family was wishing me a happy graduation an telling me congratulations, by the time I diced into my social media, I had already received loads of congratulations from my friends, I was smiling from ear to ear.

My mom @ngoenyi announced what she wanted to cook, Fried rice, I genuinely smiled for a moment and to get things done faster everyone went to do their morning chores.
Oh! Lest I forget, I've got company.
My cousins, two of them came around and they've been the sweetest of people so far, I mean they literally helped a lot.

At a point I felt a little gloomy because rain started drizzling again, I was like, can't this rain just take a break.
Soon the meal was ready and everyone came to eat, the graduation was scheduled to start by 10:30am, it would have started earlier but due to the fact that it was a last Saturday and a general sanitation day, it was shifted to that time.

I decided it was time to get ready, I took a shower and began getting dressed, the previous day I had gone to braid my hair, with a golden brown attachment and in the mermaid braid style, I'm so sure it suited me, it looked really cute.
My dress was proudly made by my cousin, and the color code was Navy blue gown so I got dressed.

I styled my hair and put in some beautiful hairpins that my mom bought earlier, I put on the dress, did a little make up, put on my earrings and the necklace my cousin gave to me, they all agreed that I was looking spectacular.
Soon one of my classmates called that she was already in school, I told her I was on my way and I would soon be there.
I quickly slipped into my heels and everyone was ready by then we hopped into the car and headed out.

It was still raining, but I knew my school, nothing would stop it from doing that graduation.
By the time I got to school I realized that they made a poster of my brother who had won the abacus competition earlier that month.
Yes my brother was also in the transiting class to high school.

I got in and my classmates we're so happy to see me, why they looked amazing, all my juniors had to come give us a congratulations and hint that we looked "take away" 🤣

I decided we made a little video for memory purposes, even though I knew that @bossj23 was there live to cover the event, so I knew I was covered.

The halls were already filled and they had to even raise a canopy outside, I mean it was livid.
After the other graduating classes were done, we went for our procession, we we're not much but, I love us the trio.
We climbed with our parents and had a little dance before we went to our seat.
The occasion kicked off, but soon I was asked to deliver my farewell speech, as the senior prefect girl in my school, trust me I felt a bit nervous but as I spoke u felt like I wanted to cry, it was emotional for me.

There were many presentations, singing, dancing, talkshows, news, and a whole lot of them but soon the ceremony was brought to an abrupt end.

Then they told us to come get our gifts, it was so beautifully wrapped I couldn't wait to see what it is, then a teacher gave us a wrapped gift also, but I knew it was a food flask, I was really going to miss all of them, their troubles, so I went to say goodbye to them all.

Bossj began taking pictures of everyone, I was so glad a lot of my friends made it, and he did a good job capturing us all, do refer to him for your photographs, he's an amazing one. Thank you so much.

We went home, some of my friends came home including @alli001 and @kidi40, since that couldn't make it to the school, I received really beautiful gifts.
My mom made A local dish called Abacha, I really loved it o, but to those eating it for the first time, I couldn't stop laughing at their faces.

Everyone had fun with the little entertainment we gave them, I couldn't feel much happier, it was a day I would never want to forget, all the sleepless nights to come out the best, all the friendships, the fights, they were coming to an end, and it was such a beautiful memory that I'm sure I will never forget 💙.
