"One picture, a thousand stories-Wk14"
Hello steemians, greetings to you all friends, I'm so delighted again to participate on this fabulous contest organized by @fortwis09 in this community, it's a pleasure to be here.
✍️Share with us one captivating picture about anything at all and tell us story.
From the appearance of this picture you can literally tell how excitement I was to receive my NYSC discharge certificate, it was a dreams come through for me, a day that I said goodbye to khaki and it's stress, indeed NYSC is not for the weak person like me, it will humble you to the core, especially if you are been posted in a rural areas where there are not networks, good road or electricity, sometimes is better the rural than the urban because of high cost of living in the town.
Although I had so much fund, I met new friends who turns out to be families in those few days or months together, NYSC is the best exprience I could cherish forever, though journey of one year hasn't been an easy one with so much ups and downs but finally I became victorious, that's why I'm so excited to share with you the picture of myself, dated 28th April 2025, that worth a thousand of stories.
✍️What made that picture special?
Well, the picture is special because I overcame every obstacles on the way, right from school, to NYSC and I've made it alive safe and sound, that's what makes the picture to be more special one for me, it reminds me of so much that happened on that journey of life, but whenever I came across the picture I would just be smiling, and end up saying "God is wonderful."
✍️Was it any special event, or something that quickly caught your eye?
Yep, closing ceremony of my our one year voluntary service of our motherland Nigeria, it's a very compulsory task for all graduates in Nigeria who finished their university/higher diploma before the age of 30 or 30years of age are allowed to go for NYSC (National Youth Service Corps).
After, the one year of experience you'll then be issued out the certificate, as you can see me holding my own joyfully.
✍️Did it remind you of Any story, or Inspire you to write one for our story lovers??
Yes,it reminds of me of the 3weeks orientation camp, which I went to at the National Youth Service orientation camp Awgu, link Enugu State Nigeria, the training we had and the processes we passed through, under the sun and in the rain, the wholistick activities we had there was great, though weather challenges amongst others we've encountered, but God saw us through.
The pictures reminds me of plenty things which cannot be vividly put in writen, but a lot happened, which I'm so grateful for such experiences, it was cherrishable.
✍️Was it taken by you or any professional photographer?
Seriously the picture was taken by my friend a fellow corper which we graduated together but can't recalled who precisely snapped me, because there was joy in chaos, that day, his not a professional but I bet he did greatly that day for this wonderful shots.
