The respected moderator of the Steem Kids and Parents community @fortwis09 has organized the Contest: One picture, A thousand stories.. The competition. A picture is a still image, but behind this picture there are a thousand stories. Today I am going to share a story in this wonderful competition. I hope you all will like my story.

One picture, a thousand stories.

The picture reflects our social life. The picture shows the helplessness of an old woman's life, her struggle to survive in the struggle for life. The picture teaches us to be realistic. How much people struggle for a handful of rice. In this old age, where she is supposed to take care of herself, she has started a struggle to meet her own needs. Her helplessness has hurt my heart. So I captured the picture on my phone camera.

I took this picture from the Court Station Market near my house. I go to this market to buy my essentials. I see that old woman every day while going to and from the market. Her struggle for life makes me think that the struggle to survive and even for a handful of rice is really difficult. Their helplessness will touch anyone's humanity.

If you look at the picture, you can see that the old woman has set up a shop on the side of the road with various types of vegetables. She is wearing worn-out clothes. The vegetables arranged in front of her are very ordinary vegetables. She does not buy these vegetables from any wholesaler. The old woman herself collects these vegetables from different places and sells them to earn money. She sits on this side of the road from morning to noon with a vegetable shop and from the afternoon she travels to different places to collect such vegetables.

According to the old woman, she lives with one of her daughters. She is the mother of three children, but she has no place in any of her children's homes. Her sons live separately with their wives after their marriage. Unfortunately, the old mother has no place in that home. So this struggling mother has started a fight for life with her daughter. The old woman says that it is more honorable for her to work hard and eat with dignity than to beg. I salute her opinion.

The picture does not just show a person or his actions, it shows the reflection of real life. We should all respect our parents. When we were children, our parents raised us with utmost care, just like we should take utmost care of our parents in their old age. ❤️❤️
