We already started our class this week. Some students were excited to meet new classmates and teachers and some also felt nervous and i guess its normal. But the story is the week when we prepare our classroom just to make it conducive to learning.

To make our classroom ready not just our lesson, the admin had a schedule for Brigada and that will happen a week before the class will start.

✨A LITTLE INFO ABOUT BRIGADA ESKWELA✨

The said Brigada Eskwela is said to be a nationwide initiative of the Department of Education that encourages the people that surrounds the school involve in preparing each public schools for the upcoming school year. This school activity promotes BAYANIHAN among teachers, school heads, students, parents and stakeholders to clean the classroom as well as the school ground, repair all the things that still can be fixed, and beautify the classroom. This school year, the theme focuses on strengthening partnerships for quality and resilient education. Volunteers can help yu achieve the theme and make the environment learning-ready. But Brigada is not just about cleaning, its not just about the physical preparation of the campus, it also encourages unity, being responsible and shared commitment.

✨A WEEK BRIGADA SA ESKWELAHAN✨

For our brigada that was started last week, together with the school admin we had an opening program. The school principal welcomed us after our 1-month uninterrupted break. On the said program, the principal instructed as to what to prepare and what to do in our 1 week of stay in the campus without the students.

After the said program, since I am one of the assigned teacher in the enrollment area, so I just stayed in the school gym and accept enrollees. We started there at 9 in the morning, we had an hour lunch break for free and ended at 5 in the afternoon.

Then the next day, I start cleaning the classroom. Good thing there were students who helped me. There were also boys and girl scouts roaming around and look for teachers who needed help.

Then our third day, we had our first ever teachers forum together with the school heads of district 1 and the teachers of district one. We just gathered in our School Gym. In the middle of the talk of one of our speakers, the Superintendent of the School visited our venue and made her short talk.
