One Picture, A Thousand Stories - Week11

in Steem Kids & Parents2 months ago

Good day steemians!

Last sunday, my mama decided to go to Carbon Market to finish her unsold shrimp and squid the day before that because there were no customers since it rain so hard. So, the picture I wanted to share to you means a lot for me. And has so many stories to tell.

And this is the picture I am refering to:

It is me and mama at the toilet mirror in Carbon Market.

Growing up, mama is so busy in her business selling shrimp and squid. She usually woke up around 11pm so she can choose a fresh shrimp and cheap as well. Good thing, papa already assisted her since papa retired in his work as a wood carver contractor to assist mama. Aside from that, wood carving already dont have many customers.

After they bought some buckets of their products, they will clean it and put some ice cubes went home around 3am so they can sleep. Afterwards, they will go back at 12noon to sell their shrimp and squid and went home at 8 in the evening. Its their routine.

They will go home so stinky and dirty yet we were so grateful to them because of that job, we were able to graduate with a degree.

And right now, since we already had work we tried to convince them to stop working and relax but they insisted because it was already became a part of their routine. If we will cut them off they will feel weak. So, we just let them but every sunday we make sure that we will go out so they can relax.

Last sunday, papa had something to finish in the house so he cant go with mama in Carbon Market. So I offer myself to help her. As I am in their workplace, I can see how hardworking are the sellers there. The heat of the sun really dont matter. So hard, and they need patience esp to the rude customers but as long as you love your work, everything is just a piece of cake.

I salute to all the vendors in Carbon Market. I can see how determined they are. And thankful to my parents for all their sacrifices. Every penny the customers gave us really count and has a great value.

So, everytime let us all check our parents and thank them for all their hardships.

Thank you for reading everyone and have a great day. Inviting my friends @bisdako, @natz04 and @jes8.

Sincerely,

[K Y R I E 1 2 3 4]

hello 😊 😊

Your story is so touching and full of respect for the hard work of parents. Not everyone can see with their own eyes how they struggle from early morning until night, and you not only see, but also feel it directly. Salute to the dedication and love you show!

Your parents' spirit is truly amazing—working without complaining for the future of their children. And the way you respect them, even taking time every Sunday so they can relax, shows how deep your love is.

Thank you ❤️🙏
