As a professional teacher, I wear many hats. Apart from farming during vacations and holidays, I teach in school and also conduct private lessons for students. I find joy in sharing my experiences, both in the school environment and during private lessons at home.

Recently, I posted about my lessons with UbongAbasi, my landlord's son. On Tuesday, July 8, our lesson was almost disrupted by the rain. It's the rainy season, and for two weeks, it had been raining almost daily.

That day, I had planned to teach UbongAbasi about the use of English, but the heavy rain made it impossible. The veranda, where I usually hang the blackboard, was getting splashed, and the sitting room was too dark due to the cloudy weather and lack of electricity.

I didn't want to waste time, of course time is money 💰 and I value my time so much, I quickly adjusted my plans. Instead of teaching him Use of English, we did a colouring lesson. Knowing that colouring won't require much writing of illustrations on the board. We moved between the sitting room and the veranda, making the most of the situation.

I taught UbongAbasi about the colour wheel, primary and secondary colours. After I took much time to show him different colours with expansion and colour combinations, then I assigned him some classwork from his Metropolitan Colouring Activities textbook 3.

I would mention a colour, and he would colour the corresponding picture. I was impressed that he could identify all the colours I taught him. I even took some pictures of him colouring, which I hope you'll like the pictures.

Despite the rain, we made the most of our lesson, and I'm proud of UbongAbasi for his enthusiasm and quick learning.

Thank you for reading my post, I appreciate your time.
