Writing Expedition ✍️ 09 : Have Fun while Writing! (The Diary Game - 30/08/25)

On the 30th day of August 2025, I spent more time in the church because there was a big task for Altar Servers to complete before the evening hours of that day. We were glad everything went well and some of us were given a nice reward the next day. Walk with me as I tell you the complete activities of that day.

I was very busy in the morning so I couldn't go to the church on time. I was busy doing somethings I was supposed to do in the midnight but my phone battery was very low that was why I couldn't do those things. Immediately I was done I ate small amount of rice and drank water then I got myself ready for church. When I arrived at the church premises I saw alot of people and I saw my fellow Altar Servers carrying small blocks from the sanctuary because it wants to be enlarged.

Before that day the walls were broken so that they can make the other part of the building to be among out sanctuary since we needed a bigger one. I kept my phone inside my bag and wanted to take one headpan from one of the young boys but the boy insisted he isn't yet tired so I left it with him and carried some big blocks with my two hands, outside the church building. The blocks were very many and more than 4 headpans were available.

We spent alot of time doing this work to the extent we couldn't wash our vestments and I politely assigned a girl who was doing something else outside to help us wash them. I was glad she agreed to help us. The blocks inside the sanctuary were gradually reducing and I was glad we were almost done with the work. We were given water to drink and after that we continued the work so that we can finish it once and for all.

The work was finally completed and I was sent to bring some soft drinks and biscuit by one of the men in our church. I went to the supermarket with two other boys who insisted they want to follow me since they were less busy. When we arrived we carried the drinks and one of them took the biscuit and we went back to the church and kept it at a place. We thanked the man and when we washed our hands and legs we shared the biscuit and drinks among ourselves.

I couldn't take pictures of them anyway because I kept my phone in my back when we came back from the supermarket. Our Parish Priest also gave us money to buy bread and akara (bean cake). We thanked him as well and after eating we made a schedule for those that will be serving mass in the upcoming week. After that we prayed together and I took a picture of one of the church windows which revealing me taking the picture that moment and I went back home feeling tired.

I barbed my father's hair after eating lunch that afternoon and I also got the opportunity to do somethings with my phone. I had alot of messages as well and I replied the necessary ones first. I rested for a while in the evening while my phone was charging in our solar charging point at the sitting room and when I finished resting I drank water then reached out for my phone and checked the video I uploaded in YouTube some days ago.

I didn't get much new views and I watched some videos before I left the app and switched over to Facebook. I replied two of the messages I got in the afternoon and then I scrolled through the news feed and saw some important posts that caught my interest. Some were posts from my friends, posts from some verified pages I'm following and so on. I ate dinner, checked my notification in steemit and slept at about 11pm hoping to wake up early the next day so that I can serve 6am mass.
