When you start taking your talents serious, use your friends first and get thier feedbacks . They'll give you honest thought about whatsoever you show to them.

I started creating art since form Nursery school, you can imagine how young I was, but I was fascinated with replicating things on paper. They just made sense to me.
The first thing I learnt to draw was a fish ..Yes, my mom taught me one shortcut to drawing a simple fish diagram.
At least, I used it to fool my classmates at that time.

Over the years, I've been gradually improving, and I'm about to take it to the next level. You better fasten your sit belts , cos we're going full speed.

For today, I drewIMOH MITCHEL

Who is @imohmitch.....

A little note from his desk reads;

"Should my name be a guess?
No!!! I think I am not that famous for you to know it through this drawing, so I would love to tell you more about me, maybe that will make me famous..😅.

My name is Imoh Mitchel, an Undergraduate in engineering. I am a content writer and a low-key photographer, thanks to steemit.
I have learnt a lot already, and I am very open to learning more , should incase you have any updates that would benefit me , and probably bring up cash. Now you know a little about me, I am feeling famous already 😂."

Okay, back to me, he's been one of my most supportive mentors here on steemit.
I don't know how I would have paved my way alone to this level.
Now, I mentor others with the little I know.
I even opened a Steemit HK , here in Uyo😂😆.

Let's dive into how this wonder piece was created.
I started by drawing this gird with a pencil. I used area of 1cm² for each of the boxes.
Then nine boxes horizontally and vertically, making it 81cm² in total.

After that, I used a pencil to sketch the proportions of the image.
I could have used the pen straight up ,but I chose to pencil , Incase of any mistake, I can erase.

After that, I started using the main tool here, which is the pen to shade. Yes, if you check most oft drawing, I usually do not start shading from the face. I always start from somewhere else. This helps me check the texture of the ink, Soni know how to apply them correctly.

Gradually, I took the shading towards the face, After noting the texture of the ink. Now, I know where to apply pressure or not.

Almost half of the shading was done here, and it's already looking like the reference Image. You can start applauding.
Now, the challenge is that, the other side of the face was intentionally made to be dark.. I wonder what they intended to use it for. Now, I'll have to guess recall how the other part of his face is, and probably add something else to cover up, if there's mistake.

Yep, that's it. I decided to write his username on the other side. Quite thoughtful alright....?
Then I wrote my username at the bottom after everything.
This final result is the thumbnail.

Thank you for reading through, vote , comment and resteem.
Stay put for day 2. It could be you.
And if you want me to draw you, you can suggest in the reply segment. And I'll surprise you.

Wow! The way you captured @imohmitch likeness is both skillful and expressive. Every pencil stroke speaks of dedication and love for art. I really enjoy seeing Steemians turned into art pieces, it makes our community feel even more connected. Eager to follow along on Day 2 and beyond!

Your blue pen artwork is really impressive. Your subtle shading and the details you add bring the portrait to life. I appreciate the grid technique. This really helps with precision. Your portrait captures a friendly smile and thoughtful expression. You add the contrast of the dark blue lines against the graph paper background this is a unique touch. Good luck!
