Visit by the agricultural team from Syamtalira Aron sub-district, North Aceh
Today is a significant day for our village. A team from the Syamtalira Aron sub-district, accompanied by the agricultural sector, visited the village directly, accompanied by the local military commander. Their visit aimed to check the condition of the irrigation channels that flow to every rice field in our area. This inspection is crucial, especially amidst the recent prolonged dry season, which has made many agricultural areas experience water shortages.
Since morning, village officials and several residents have accompanied the group. They have been tracing the irrigation channels one by one, ensuring that no sections are clogged or damaged. Although the dry weather is palpable, God Almighty has other plans for this day. In the midst of the activity, rain suddenly fell quite heavily. Raindrops soaked the previously dry and dusty earth. The residents who accompanied them were very grateful because rain in the dry season is a much-awaited blessing.
Rainwater flowing from the hills began to flow into the irrigation canals, bringing new hope to farmers. At least temporarily, the water needs of the rice fields could be somewhat alleviated. Many residents immediately took advantage of this opportunity to direct the flow of water to their fields, so that the rice plants could be rejuvenated and grow well.

But beneath this gratitude, we still hold onto great hope. The river dam, the primary source of irrigation for our rice fields, is currently in dire need of repair. Damage to the dam has subsided, often preventing water from reaching the rice fields downstream, particularly in the Krueng Pasee area. As a result, prolonged droughts are inevitable during the current dry season, threatening farmers' harvests.
We hope the relevant government will promptly follow up on this dam repair. With smooth water flow and maintained irrigation channels, farmers will be more reassured and productive. This day teaches us that God's blessings can come at any time, even in the midst of hardship, and serves as a reminder that cooperation between residents, village governments, and sub-districts is crucial for maintaining agricultural sustainability.
